Stunt Fighting and Basics

These Stunt Fighting sessions cover everything from the basic punches to basic reactions and wrecks. Every stunt performer needs to have basic ground and pound attack and reaction techniques. These sessions are geared toward leveling you up for Camera and Stage.

Focus Mitts

Focus mitts are often used as an augment to sparring, with more explicit focus on the puncher than the feeder, especially to develop good punch combinations and defensive maneuvers such as "slipping," "bobbing" and "weaving." The practice of using focus mitts and thai pads help to gauge distance and practice techniques with kicks, knees, elbows and uppercuts. Ultimately, this class levels up the "Fight Swag" so necessary in stunt fighting.

Open Gym

Adult Open Gym is the time block to work out your skills however you like! It's also a great time and place to meet like-minded people. Pads and mats are available for you to use, as well as the collective skills of everyone around you! Come feel the energy!

Kickin' It with Shon

Great kicks make great fights! Control and precision are key to any stunt fight involving kicks. Having absolute control over kicks is a non negotiable for maximum "impact" and minimal damage (which is what you want in a film or stage fight!).

Train with Shon to get you there!

Adult Tumbling with Edward

Adult Tumbling is exactly that: Adult Tumbling! Whether you have always wanted to learn how to do a backflip, or you want to safely brush up on a skill you haven't touched in ages, this is the session for you! From cartwheel to back tuck, you'll level up for sure!

Balintawak with Kwoka

The Balintawak arnis method focuses on the use of a single stick and empty hands, concentrating on close range fighting tactics, and can be classified as a "modern system", a composite of several fighting methods. These sessions encourage hand eye coordination and overall sensory awareness of ones own physical space and ergonomic flow.
